Why we do
what we do
Welcome to the Bennett Racing website, where family values meet drag racing prowess. With an impressive track record of 6 European Championships, the Bennett Racing team is synonymous with drag racing excellence. Led by Frank Bennett in the NFAA '32 Fiat Topolino methanol altered, Luke Bennett in the Supercharged Outlaw '32 Bantam methanol altered, and Adam Bennett in the Wild Bunch slingshot dragster, our team boasts a wealth of experience and success.
Established in 1981, Bennett Racing made waves from the outset with a small block Chevy powered 1958 Ford Popular, clinching victory in their inaugural event and collecting numerous wins and trophies until 1987. Seeking greater speed, the team transitioned to a replica 1932 Topolino-bodied blown-alcohol altered, competing in the European Top Alcohol Championship and achieving notable success, including reaching the semi-finals of the World Finals in 1994.
In 1996, Bennett Racing shifted focus to the Supercharged Outlaws class, securing victories, 'low elapsed time' awards, and championships. A new era began in 2005 with a title sponsorship at the Xtreme Wheels show, propelling the team into the Nostalgia Fuel Altered Association (NFAA). Despite challenges, including a courageous battle with cancer by crew chief Luke Bennett in 2008, the team persevered and triumphed, winning every event in 2009 and clinching the championship.
The year 2010 marked another milestone as Luke Bennett received the APIRA Iris Page Memorial Trophy, a testament to his perseverance and contributions to the sport. This prestigious award recognizes individuals who have overcome adversity and achieved personal goals, embodying the spirit of determination and resilience.
At Bennett Racing, we are more than just a racing team—we are a family united by our passion for drag racing and our unwavering commitment to excellence.
Thank you for visiting our website, and we invite you to join us on our journey to victory.
